Online and open platforms present an opportunity to democratize knowledge and empower new voices. More needs to be done to harness the lived and learned experiences of under-accessed, under-represented communities. Moreover, it’s important to put in place safeguards that prevent further polarization of opinions or self-selecting of convenient truths. In all of this, it’s important to note that no one actor or sector can address the economic, social, and environmental challenges facing the global community.”
